Writing Contests - Short Story Contest

Short Story Contest - for Adult Writers

Anyone can enter the Short Story Contest, but entries will be judged based on the skill level expected from an adult. I suspect that we will see entries from teenagers that will make 50-year-old amateur writers weep out of jealousy and frustration. Before you enter the contest, please visit the rules page and read the rules very carefully. Cash prizes in this category total $1000.

While we await the expected flood of entries for the Short Story Contest we've posted a couple of classic short stories below. Don't be intimidated - nobody is as good as Samuel Clemens, and very few are as good as Robert Benchley.

Register to submit into this category.
