"Being as rich as my father had made me allowed me to nourish a small talent for irony, irony being the vehicle by which the essentially second rate arrive at some kind of superiority."

Christopher Isherwood (Christopher William Bradshaw-Isherwood) August 26, 1904 to January 4, 1986 Born in High Lane, England & Died in Santa Monica, California My knowledge of Isherwood is scant at best, it amounts to this; Isherwood was a widely admired writer who was gay and became a Hindu. I will read a biography and a couple of his books and get back to you with a definitive judgement. (Or, you can save me the trouble and send a brief essay on Isherwood and his work.)
Quote "I know I have made a mess of my life but so do most of us."
