Joseph Conrad (Birth name Teodor Jozef Konrad Korzeniowski) December 3, 1857 to August 3, 1924 Born in Berdichev, Ukraine & Died in Canterbury England Novelist and short story writer best known for The Heart of Darkness. Few people ever wrote as well as Joseph Conrad, and the few in his league wrote in their native language.
